Charles Williams, Cedar River, Dies.
Charles P. Williams 86, a resident of Cedar River for the past 86 years and a retired fisherman, died at 9:51 a.m. today in St. Joseph Lloyd hospital where he had been a
patient since Sunday. He had been ill for the past year. Mr. Williams was a well known fisherman of the area, retiring 23 years ago. He had served as a member of the school board about 1930.
He was born August 3, 1874 in Marinette. He married the former Mary Corvall in Bailey's Harbor Wis, July 7, 1898.
Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Wilbert Jensky of Marinette and Mrs. Gewart Sexton of Glenview Ill, a son Milton of Escanaba; eight grandchildren and 21
great grandchildren. Five sisters, Mrs. Sam Baxter and Mrs. Maize Dugan of Menominee and Mrs. Andrew Schwartz of Wells, Mrs. Lottie Lackery and Miss Elizabeth Williams of the state of Washington. A brother Louis Williams of Escanaba.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 9 am in the church of the Precious Blood
Stephenson with the RT Rev. Msgr. Glen E. Sanford officiating.
Burial will be in the Cedar River cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kell funeral home from 2 p.m. Friday until 8:15 a.m. Saturday. The rosary will be recited Friday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
