OBITUARY; MRS. MARY KANE DIES HERE FRIDAY
Mrs. Mary Kane, 87, of 835 2nd street, a retired employee of the Municipal Sanitarium, Chicago, died Friday at 4:15 p.m. in St. Joseph Lloyd hospital. She had been ill for the
past three weeks.
The former Mary Jane Williams was born April 21, 1871 in Fish Creek, Wis. She was married in the Church of the Precious Blood, Stephenson, to Timothy J. Kane,
In 1893. The couple lived many years in Canada where her husband, a lumberman, disappeared.
After her retirement in 1951, Mrs Kane came to Menominee to make her home.
She was a member of St. Ann's church. Survivors include five sisters; Mrs Sam Baxter of Menominee, Mrs Timothy Dugan of Marinette, Mrs Andrew Schwartz of Wells MI., Mrs
Lottie Loughary and Miss Elizabeth Williams of Portland Ore., two brothers, Charles Williams of Cedar River and Louis Williams of Escanaba. Funeral services will be held
On Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Ann's church with the Rev. Fr. Francis Gaynet officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the Lemieux-DeGaynor funeral Home from 2 p.m. Sunday until 8:30 a.m. MondayMonday when the cortege will form. The rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
