Schuyler R. Williams was born October 1st, 1850 in Mackinac county Michigan to John R. And Mariette Slocum Williams. He was less than a year old when his parents moved the family to Chambers Island Wisconsin and about 14 when the family moved to Ingallston, Menominee county Michigan.

Schuyler Williams Dies at Cedar River; Had 65 Grandchildren.
Schuyler Williams 86, veteran Bay Shore fisherman, died at 12:10 a.m. today in his home at Cedar River. Infirmities due to old age caused death. Mr. Williams was born on
Mackinac Island October 1, 1850 and had lived in CedarVille township for 53 years.
During that time Mr. Williams has conducted commercial fishing operations on Green Bay. He had lived in Menominee county for 66 years.
Grandfather to 65-
Sixty four years ago Mr. Williams married Elizabeth Patnod, who died about 15 years ago. Twelve children, Charles, Joseph, Phillip and John Williams of Cedarville
township; Louis Williams of Menominee, Mrs. Timothy Kane of Chicago, Mrs. Joseph Ruleau and Mrs. Timothy Dugan of Cedarville township, Mrs. Hugo Lughury and Miss
Elizabeth Williams of Castle Rock, Wash., Mrs. Samuel Baxter of Menominee, Mrs. Andy Schwartz of Wells, Mich. 65 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, two
brothers Eli and Hiram Williams of Ingallston township, survive him.

Williams; Funeral rites for Schuyler Williams veteran bay shore fisherman, who died Sunday in his home at Cedar River, were held Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. in his home at
Cedar River, and at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Episcopal church here. Rev. W Paul Nichols conducted the service in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and
friends of the decedent.
Four granddaughters, Misses Mable Baxter, Francis Williams, Dorothy Dugan and Loretta Ruleau, were in charge of flowers. Peter Baxter, Timothy Dugan Jr., Thomas
Ruleau, Clarence Schwartz, Harold and Milton Williams, grandsons of the decedent, bore the casket to its final resting place in Riverside cemetery. Before being interred,
the casket was encased in a steel vault.
Mrs. T.J. Kane and Mr. and Mrs. Saxton Gaywood of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. George
Ruleau and Alvin Williams of Manistique, Mich.; Mrs. Emma McDonald, John Anguilm and Donald McDonald of Trout Lake Mich; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schwartz, Clarence, Jack and Frank Schwartz of Wells, Mich; and Mrs. William Dulcon of Green Bay, Wis., attended the funeral.
