Daughter of John David and Elizabeth Belle (Thompson) Bader.

LIZZIE BELLE BADER
Little Lizzie, the infant daughter of J. D. Bader, died from spinal meningitis and brain trouble on Sunday, February 28, 1892, aged 6 months and 23 days.
Little Lizzie gave every promise of becoming a pleasant and obedient child, but the ruthless and unsparing hand of death and disease claimed her for a victim. But she is not dead, she has just begun to live. An All-wise God, who chasteneth those whom he loveth, in His infinite mercy saw fit to gather her to His heavenly kingdom. Her work of life was accomplished.
As we lingered about her little crib and watched her battling with that grim and relentless monster--death--and saw the last spark of her pure and innocent life go out we could but think of the rejoicing of the angels in heaven as they bore her on their shining wings to the arms of Jesus, who hath said, "Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto Me, for such is the kingdom of heaven." It was hard to give her up, but we know that she is in the better land, free from sin and its allurements.
