John R. Bader was born December 16, 1893, in Green Hill, Indiana. He married Flora McDonald on November 2, 1915, at Newton, Indiana.
Most of his life he lived in Michigan, where he was a printer.
John played the clarinet with the family band.
He was a fifty-year member of Redford Masonic Lodge No. 152, F.&A.M. in Redford, Michigan. He was a past member of Kiwanis and Rotary Club of Michigan, and Past Worthy Grand Patron of the O.E.S. Grand Chapter of Michigan (1951-1952).
John retired to Bradenton, Florida, where he died on January 7, 1975. He is buried in the Mansion Cemetery there.

John Raymond Bader, 81, of 2912 Case Ave. in Bayshore Gardens, died Tuesday in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
He came here in 1962 from Detroit and was retired from Moers Printing Company.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Redford Lodge No. 152 F&AM, Redford, Mich., past member of Kiwanis and Rotary Club of Michigan, and Past Worthy Grand Patron of the OES, Grand Chapter of Michigan.
He is survived by his widow, Inez Bader; and two daughters, Mrs. Lee Watts of Apollo Beach and Mrs. Richard Nihill of Southfield, Mich.
Services will be held in Bayshore Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. John Bird officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Manatee Lodge No. 3 will conduct graveside services at Mansion Memorial Park.
