Eugene Stanley Adamson, longtime resident of Calvert precinct, passed away at the Imperial hospital early Tuesday morning. He was seventy-eight years of age, but had enjoyed excellent health until a few weeks before his death.

Mr. Adamson settled on his home place in Calvert precinct many years ago, coming from the eastern part of the state to make his home among us. His farm on the Ough Divide was one of the show places of that community and he was known as a very thrifty and progressive farmer.

He was successful in business, highly regarded among his neighbors, strictly honorable in all his dealings and a devout Christian gentleman.

His funeral was held at the Eden church south of Wauneta on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock mountain time and the services were in charge of the Johnston Mortuary of Wauneta. Rev. P.R. Stevens, of Lincoln, officiated the service. A quartet made up of Mrs. Fred Nordhausen, Elmer Carpenter, Mrs. Herman Bley and Ellis Carpenter sang "The Old Rugged Cross." Mary Bardsley sang "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Gwen Egle. Pallbearers were Jake Bley, Dan West, Cap Maris, Ralph Miller, Jimmy Harrison & Ed Nowka. Burial was at the Eden Cemetery.
