Gertrude Glatz

Gertrude Glatz, 90, of 221 N. Lincoln St. in Mundelein, formerly of Henry, died at 4:49 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 1988 at Condell Memorial Hospital in Libertyville.

Born Feb. 1, 1898, in Henry to Henry and Lena Schlosser Schmitt, she married Louis Glatz. He preceded her in death, as did one son.

Surviving are five sons, Ted of Chicago, Joseph of Plano, Texas, and Louis, Paul and Phillip, all of Mundelein; four daughters, Dorothy Shipton of Delavan, Kathryn Nudo of Niagara Falls, NY, Rita Furgye of Mundelein and Rita Furgye of Mundelein and Judith O'Donnell of Northridge, Calif.; one sister, Theresa Webber of Pontiac; 44 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Henry.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Ries Mortuary, with Scripture services there at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Walter A. Breuning will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
