William Giles, 80, of Colbert passed away at Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant on August 17, 2009. Graveside services were scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Garden of Memory in Colbert with Rev. Bob Stevens officiating.
Mr. Giles was born to Angus and Lona Giles on October 7, 1928 in Colbert, Oklahoma and was a lifetime resident of Colbert.
Mr. Giles was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was self-employed in sand and gravel hauling.
He is survived by children, Billy, Catrenia, Regina, Mark, Mike, Eugenia and Betty; sisters Lorene Garvin, JoAnn Korbelic, Donella Baecht and Fern Bush. He has seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is survived by longtime companion Margie Shaffer.
Following services, burial was in the Garden of Memory in Colbert, Oklahoma.
The family was at the Billy Giles farm before and after services.
Arrangements were under the direction of American Funeral Services, Colbert, Oklahoma.
