Funeral for Angus M. Giles, 75, of Colbert,who died Friday in a Denison hospital, will be held in Colbert Baptist Church. Burial will be in Colbert Cemetery with Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born May 19, 1894, in Elgin, Texas, he married the former Lona Annia, January 30, 1921, at Calera, Oklahoma. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife; a son, W.L. Giles of Colbert; eight daughters, Mrs. Fern Bush of Denison, Mrs. Maggie Dawson of Denison, Mrs. Frances Barkley of Colbert, Mrs. Lillie Raney of Vacation Village, Florida, Mrs. Lorene Garvin of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Louise Hannan of Colbert, Mrs. Joann Korbelic of Denton Harbor, Michigan and Mrs. Donella Baecht of Denison; a step-daughter, Mrs. Dolly Hooper of Dallas; a brother, Floyd Giles of Cartwright; 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
