Charles L. Cecil, 89, of West Louisville died Tuesday, February 3, 1987 at the Carmel Home, Owensboro. He was born in Daviess County, was a retired farmer and was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Cecil; six sons, Hugh Cecil of Stanley, Bernard Cecil of West Louisville, Bob Cecil of Owensboro, Leon Cecil of St. Louis, MO and Paul J. & Frank Cecil both of Sorgho; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marie) Simmons and Mrs. J.C. (Mildred) Higdon, both of Owensboro; 50 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, St. Joseph. Burial in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
