KENMARE -- Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Methodist church of Donnybrook for Mrs. Earl F. Johnson, 67, who died Friday in a Kenmare hospital after a long illness. The family home is in Baden Township. Born July 19, 1890, at Avoca IA., the former Stella Millis was married Feb. 3, 1909, to Earl Johnson at Onawa, IA. The couple lived in Ponca, Neb., before coming to Kenmare in 1916. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Otto Schwede of Kenmare; two sons, Gilbert of Kenmare and Kenneth of Donnybrook; and four grandchildren. The Rev. J.G. Sortland of Kenmare will officiate at the services. Mrs. Henry Steinberger will be the organist and will accompany vocalist, Mrs. Alfred Nott and Mrs. Lloyd Rockeman. Pallbearers will be Leo Johnson, Vernie Johnson, Chester Johnson, Robert Johnson, Elnie Johnson and Rodney Olson. Burial will be in the Moravian cemetery at Aurelia. Ringen funeral home of Kenmare has charge of arrangements.

THE KENMARE NEWS Wednesday, 14 June 1958 Mrs. E. Johnson Called Friday Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Methodist Church in Donnybrook, for Mrs. Earl Johnson, 67, a resident of the community since 1916.
The Rev. J.G. Sortland, pastor of
the church officiated, and interment was made in the Moravian cemetery at Aurelia. Mrs. H.J. Steinberger was organist and Mrs. Alfred Nott and Mrs. Lloyd Rockeman were vocalists at the service. Bearers were Leo Johnson, Vernie Johnson, Chester Johnson, Robert Johnson, Elnie Johnson and Rodney Olson. Death came to Mrs. Johnson at the Deaconess hospital Friday. She had been in failing health for the past five years. Born in Avoca, Iowa, July 19, 1890, she was married to Mr. Johnson Feb. 3, 1909, at Onawa, Iowa. They moved to the Donnybrook - Kenmare vicinity in 1916 and engaged in farming. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Gilbert, Kenmare, and Kenneth of Donnybrook, and a daughter, Mrs. Otto Schwede of Kenmare. There are four grandchildren.
