Doris M. Thompson, 87, of County Road 450 South, died at 5:23 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
A homemaker, Mrs. Thompson enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed music, attending concerts at the Little Nashville Opry, traveling and being on the go.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Dereck Fields officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday.
Burial will be at Mount Healthy Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or the donor's choice of charities.

Born in Indianapolis August 4, 1923, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of Grover and Viola Philpott Fields. She married Marion L. Thompson January 2, 1940.
Survivors include her husband; children, Carol (Don) Williams of Columbus, Marian "Tiny" Thompson of Columbus, Terry (Pam) Thompson of Brownstown, Linda (Tom) Adams of Columbus and Jerry (Sigrid) Thompson of Brownstown; grandchildren, Stacy Williams, Ted (Susan) Williams, Aaron (Bretta) Thompson, Kurt (Tricia) Williams, Matthew Thompson and Skylar Thompson; great-grandchildren, Baylee Pruitt, Josie Pruitt, Shelby Stahl, Alex Williams, Claire Williams, Jonah Thompson, Bridgette Blair, Brody Williams and Madison Williams; sisters, Opal Sullivan of Columbus and Anna Rae Swim of Hoopeston, IL; a brother, Kenny (Barbara) Fields of Dillsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Marvin; and brothers, Donald, Buddy and Charles Fields.
