Ida was the youngest child of David Arnold and Delilah Decker. She married at home (much to her father's chagrin who had wanted all his daughters to stay single) on June 7, 1899, to Elmer B. Moore and was the mother of Harold David and Freddie Lee. The family lived on a farm between Freeport and Smyrna near three of her sisters and two of her brothers. That house was later the sheephouse on the Rogers farm. Ida was a woman of very strong opinions and as a niece once said, "Her word was law!"
