       Snuffer Funeral Is This Afternoon

The funeral for Ernest E. Snuffer of Route 1, Beckley will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Crab Orchard Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Mark Wolfe. Burial will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery.

He died at his residence at midnight Monday following a long illness.

A Beckley native, he was born Sept. 7, 1900, a son of Sparrell and Susan Davis Snuffer. He was a lifelong resident of Raleigh County.

Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. W. T. Riffe, Harper Road; Mrs. Nellie Campbell, Route 1, Beckley; Mrs. Lessie Phipps, Lilly St., Beckley; Mrs. Lettie Evans, Route 1, Beckley; and Mrs. Mary Scott, Middleton, Ohio; and a brother, R. H. Snuffer, Coal City.

The body was removed to the residence at 4 p.m. yesterday from Calfee Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Weldon Campbell, James Campbell, Edward Phipps, Robert Stanley, Paul Gallimore, and John Tolbert.
