BROWNSTOWN - Susan Iris "Susie" Smith, 94, Kearny, Ariz., formerly of Brownstown, died 9:15 a.m. Friday (Jan. 21, 2011) at her son's home in Kearny. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown, with the Rev. Curtis Graves officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until services. Burial will be in Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown. Memorials: Crossing Hospice care, 996 Broad St., Globe, AZ 85501, or donor's choice. Susie was born Aug. 27, 1916, in Altamont, the daughter of Joseph J. and Nellie A. Lacey Kollman. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was a member of Church of Christ, Kearny. She married Don W. Smith on March 29, 1934. He preceded her in death May 16, 1982. Surviving are her sons, Robert (Marjorie) Smith of Toccoa, Ga.; Donald Joe (Ruby) Smith of Kearny; daughter, Blanche (BC) Fowler of Toccoa; son-in-law, Jim (Annie) Willis of Decatur; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Iris June Willis and Agnes Fern Smith; daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Orr) Smith; and four sisters.
