Tragic Death of Mrs. Rule, Pryor Resident

Mrs. Etta Rule, age 60, wife of William T. Rule was instantly killed Friday morning when she was thrown from a wagon in which she and her husband were riding. The couple had been looking over some bench land and were returning home when the wagon tongue broke and the team bolted and ran away. Wheels of the wagon passed over Mr. Rule but his injuries were not serious. The Rules lived on a farm four miles south of Pryor and were pioneer citizens of this part of Montana.

Mrs. Etta Rule was born at Buena Vesta, Oregon, December 23, 1875. She was united in marriage to W.T. Rule at Heppner, Oregon, April 19, 1893, at the home of her parents. They moved to Montana and located near Roberts in the spring of 1894. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving, besides her husband are two sons, William Jr. of Pryor and Robert Corwin Rule living near Warren, and three daughters, Miss LaRenia rule of Hollywood, California, Mrs. R.J. Clifton of Greybull, Wyoming and Mrs. A.M. Bennett of Lusk, Wyoming. She also leaves two brothers, M.J. and J.W. Galloway and two sisters Mrs. Estella Johnson and Mrs. Elizabeth McFerrin living near Portland, Oregon.

Funeral Services were conducted from the local Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon, in the charge of the pastor, Rev. C.E. Smith. Mrs. Richard Shaw and Miss Alyce Reed accompanied at the piano by Mrs. R.T. Wagner sang "In the Sweet By and By," and "Nearer My God to Thee."

Pallbearers were: C.C. Green, G.C. Schwartz, J.S. Tuggle, T.W. Brewington, George Hunt and I.A. Brown. Burial was made in Rockvale Cemetery.
