Mrs. Kate Roche, a much beloved woman of Colusa, died at 4:35 this morning at the family home on Main Street. Mrs. Roche had suffered with heart trouble a number of years and one week ago she suffered an attack, which resulted in her death.
Deceased was sixty years of age and a native of Wisconsin. When a small child accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Myers, came to California and settled near Grand Island, Colusa county. Thirty-seven years ago the deceased married William Roche. Her husband died several years ago. Mrs. Roche was a devout Christian, and her many acts of charity and kindness endeared her to a host of friends, who were shocked and grieved to learn of her death.
Deceased leaves to mourn three children, a daughter, Mrs. Henry Busch, and two sons, Thomas and Dan Roche of Colusa.
The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning from the Catholic church and high requiem mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul.
Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery, Colusa.
