Discussion of Jacob's death in the photo is from the Little Falls Herald newspaper of Friday, 2 May 1902. The remainder of the article is too gruesome to post here but the fall was under the train wheels which killed Jacob.

The newspaper article demonstrates the 1901 year of death on Jacob's gravestone is incorrect as Jacob's death was on April 28, 1902, in agreement with the Morrison County official death book. The latter has Jacob's age correctly as 16 at his death, not age 20 as stated in the newspaper.
