- SHANKS,WEST VIRGINIA -- Ira Thomas "I.T." Timbrook, 90, of P.O. Box 371, Shanks, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998 at Shawnee Springs Nursing Home, Winchester, Va.
He was born Aug. 5, 1908, a son of the late Thomas Wesley Timbrook and the late Cora Belle Ganoe Timbrook. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel McCune on Oct. 11, 1988; and by six brothers; and six sisters.
Mr. Timbrook served as Justice of the Peace and Hampshire County Magistrate for 21 years.
Surviving are one son, James R. Timbrook and wife, Shirley, Augusta; one sister, Gladys Shackleford, Akron, Ohio; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Friends will be received at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Judge Donald P. Cookman and Pastor Robert Jeffreys officiating.
Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney.
Pallbearers will be Gary Bowman, Ed Bolyard, Sgt. David Burkhart, Bob Uhler, Bill Roomsburg and Conda Shanholtz.
