---Mrs. Martha B. Reynolds was born in Barren County, Kentucky on December 14, 1860, died at her home in La Plata on February 3, 1911. She was the tenth child of Presley and Maria A. Self.
---She professed faith in Christ at the age of fourteen years and united with the Methodist Church.
---She moved with her mother and brothers, M.M. and P.C. Self to Missouri in 1879, her father having passed away in 1876. When she came to Missouri she placed her church letter with the Methodist Church in La Plata where she continued until her death.
---In March, 1885, she was married to C.W. Reynolds and to them were born two sons, Floyd and Orla, who survive her.
---Sister Reynolds was thoroughly devoted to her home and always ready to help her neighbors in time of need. She has been a constant sufferer for four years but was very patient in her illness.
---She leaves to mourn her departure, a husband, two sons, four brothers and sisters besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
---Funeral services were conducted by her pastor and the remains were laid to rest in the La Plata cemetery.
