MARY ELIZABETH FRANCIS SELF OWEN
---Mary Elizabeth Francis Self, daughter of Presley and Anna Self, was born May 21, 1940 in Cave City, Kentucky and died September 24, 1925 at 8 a.m., aged eighty-five years, five months and three days.
---She was married to John Owen and to this union were born three children, two of whom are yet living.
---At an early age she united with the Methodist Church with her confession of faith in Christ and retained her membership in that church until the union with the Community Presbyterian Church at which time she transferred her membership to that body and was always a faithful interested worker of the church and the Kingdom.
---She leaves to mourn her passing, two children, Mrs. Ella King and Mrs. Milt Chadwick of La Plata; two brothers, Marshall Self of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Presley Self of La Plata; also six grandchildren and a host of neighbors and friends who will miss her.
---Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Milt Chadwick, Friday afternoon, conducted by the pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church. The remains were laid to rest by the side of her husband who preceded her in death in 1914.
