Mrs. Malinda Elizabeth Ford Wilson, 81, was laid to rest in interment services at Prospect Cemetery July 20 following her death on July 18 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Howard Hathorn.
A native of Chickasaw County, Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of John Elias Ford and Minnie Smith. She was a retired housewife and a member of the Prospect Methodist Church.
She was the widow of James Leonard Wilson. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Emma Abernathy of Gulfport; three sons, Ford Wilson of Baltimore, Md., Byron Wilson and Johnny Wilson, both of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Jane Kennedy of Houston and Mrs. Emma Lancaster of Amory; two brothers, Andrew Ford and Jim Ford, both of Houston; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Ford, Howard Ford, Tommy Smith, J T Martin, James P Moore, and Charles Caldwell. Alternate was Harrison Upshaw.
Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
