Wife of James F. Waddell, C.S.A. Veteran
MRS. A. VICTORIA WADDELL. The funeral services of Mrs. A. Victoria Waddell, whose death occurred at the family home in Wynnton (sic) early Wednesday morning, were held this morning at 10 o'clock from Trinity Episcopal church, of which she was a devout member. The services were conducted by Rev. S. Alston Wragg, rector.
The services were attended by a large number of relatives and friends of the aged lady, and many floral offerings and kindly expressions with reference to her long life of usefulness were evidences of the high esteem in which she was held.
Interment was in Linwood cemetery and the following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: George Kyle, John K. Clason, Thomas Clason, Wesley Laney, Elliott Waddell and Hugh Bickerstaff."

Mrs. A. Victoria Waddell, widow of Major James F. Waddell, died at the family residence in Wynnton at 12:30 o'clock this morning, following an indisposition of a little more than a week caused by a fall she suffered, from the shock of which she did not recover.
Mrs. Waddell was a daughter of the late Dr. Edward deGraffenried, who was a prominent citizen of Columbus three quarters of a century ago. She was born in this City June 8, 1936, in the family residence here, which was located on the lot now occupied by the government building.
In 1863 she was married to Major Waddell, who, at that time resided in Russell county, Ala. For a long while the family resided in Seale, Ala., having moved to this city some twenty-five years ago, where they have since resided.
Mrs. Waddell was a devoted member of the Episcopal church of this city. She was a woman of high ideals, cultured and refined, and was highly esteemed by those who knew her.
Surviving Mrs. Waddell are two sons and three daughters. They are Boswell deGraffenried Waddell, of Seale, Ala.; Albert Sidney Waddell of Havana, Cuba; Mrs. M. B. Clasen and Miss Elba Waddell of Columbus, and Mrs. Annie Kirkland Warren, of Washington, D.C. Mrs. Clason who is in Washington ccity under treatment, was unable to be at her mother's bedside during her last illness and death, nor was Mr. Waddell of Cuba, able to be here."
Owing to the lateness of the hour of her death last night no arrangements for the funeral have been made."
