Minnie Pearl Harker, 87, of Mannington died Sunday (March 13, 2005) at Wishing Well Health Center in Fairmont.

She was born June 30, 1917, at Smithfield, a daughter of the late Alvy Leonard and Lillie Criss Merrifield.

Mrs. Harker had worked at the Garden Fresh Market in Mannington and the Bucket Factory in Ida may.

She also worked with her daughter, Martha Hartley, at the Corner Crafts in Mannington.

She is survived by four sons, Leonard "Bud" Harker of Petoluma, Calif.; William "Bill" Harker of Wadestown, Thomas Harker of Moundsville and Ernest Harker of Wadestown; one daughter, Sa lly A. Harker Wright of Flat Run, Mannington; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harker was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Harry E. Harker on Nov. 12, 1967; one daughter, Martha V. Hartley; two granddaughters, Leslie Ann and Brittany Ann Harker; two grandsons, Richard and Barry L. Harker; five brothers, Elmer Merrifield and four infant brothers; and three sisters, Gayle Nichols, Leona Glover and Lucille Lee.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Brower officiating.

Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
