Leona Alta Glover, 86 of Highland Street, Mannington, died Tuesday morning (Nov 30, 1993) at Fairmont General Hospital. She was born Nov 28, 1907, at Brilliant, Ohio, a daughter of the late Alvy Leonard and Tillie Criss Merrifield. Her husband Charles Edwin Glover, died Aug 16, 1971. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Leila Gayle) Hayes and Mrs. Richard (Virginia Mae) Stevens, both of Mannington, two sisters, Minnie Harker of Mannington and Lucille Lee of Fairmont, four grandchildren Deborah Kay Hartzell, James Edwin Hayes, Charles Richard and Christopher George Stevens, and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Elmer Merrifield and four infants, and one sister, Gayle Nichols. She was a member of the Mannington Church of Christ. Friends may call at the Master Funeral Home in Mannington on Wednesday from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 1 P.M. with Evangelist Michael P. Resse officiating. Burial will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park.(clipping Sylvia Sine Whittaker)
