Mrs. Tillie Criss Merrifield 82, Mannington, widow of Alvie Leonard Merrifield, died Wednesday in Fairmont Emergency Hospital. She was a daughter of the late William A. and Nancy K. Moore Criss, Mrs. Merrifield was a member of Mannington EUB Church. Surviving are one son Elmer E. Merrifield of Trenton, NJ , three daughters, Mrs. Charles E. (Leona) Glover of Mannington, Mrs. Lawrence C (Lucille) Lee of Fairmont and Mrs. Harry E. (Minnie) Harker of Mannington one brother John Criss of Wadestown, nine grandchildren. One daughter Linda (Belinda) Gail Nichols two sisters and one brother are deceased. Friends may call at the W. F. Jones Funeral Home in Mannington. (clipping Sylvia Sine Whittaker)

Elmer E. Merrifield 74, of 302 Wagner Avenue, Trenton, NJ and Formerly of Mannington, died Friday December 1, 1989 at a New Jersey Hospital. He was born March 15, 1915 in Mannington, son of the late Alvy And Tillie Criss Merrifield. Survivors include his wife, Jeannette Glover Merrifield, one daughter, Carolyn Cash at home, three sisters, Leona Glover and Minnie Harker, both of Mannington and Lucille Lee of Fairmont and several nieces and nephews. Four brothers and one sister are deceased. He retired from Princeton, NJ University formerly worked of the Bowers Pottery in Mannington and a pottery in Trenton and was a member of the Church of Christ in Trenton. Services will be held Monday at Saul Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial will be at Princeton Memorial Gardens, Obituary is courtesy of the Master Funeral Home in Mannington.

Tillie had a set of twin boys, J. A. and C. O. Merrifield, died at 9 days Feb 13, 1909, Wetzel County, WV.
