Miss Jennie Chandler, widely known resident of 529 east Walter street died at 11:10 o'clock, Sunday night at the Blackford County hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a fall and complications. In Ill health for the past four years, Miss Chandler sustained a hip injury, Monday afternoon when she fell at her home. She was removed to the hospital Tuesday morning. A lifelong resident of Hartford City, Miss Chandler was a daughter of the late Alvin and Clara Ann (Rowe) Chandler. For several years Miss Chandler was employed as a clerk in the Ervin company of this city. Miss Chandler is survived by two sisters, Mrs. C. R. Ketterman, who resides in Shiedeler, and Miss Edith Chandler, teacher in the William Reed school, with whom she resided, and two brothers, William E. Chandler of Oshkosh, Wis., and J. R. Chandler this city. She is also survived by three nieces and one nephew, Eloise and Mary Jean Ketterman of Shideler, and Lois and Roger Chandler of Oshkosh, Wis. The body was removed to the Burk & Fennig funeral home for burial preparation and will be taken to the home at 1:30 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon to lie in state until 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at which time it will be returned to the funeral chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Burk & Fennig chapel in charge of the Rev. B. H. Franklin, pastor of the Grace Methodist church. Interment will take place in the I O. O. F. cemetery.
