Jean H. Terry, formerly of Hanover, died on Monday, March 26, 2007. She celebrated her 82nd birthday on March 23, 2007. Jean was born and raised in Hanover, the daughter of the late Hugh K. and Ruth (Craumer) Hamm. She graduated from Hanover High School in 1943. She received her certification as a Registered Nurse from Church Home Hospital, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University. Later, Jean studied fine arts at the University of Delaware and became an accomplished silversmith. Jean is survived by her daughter, Nancy C. Adams-Sims of Los Angeles, Calif.; her son, Steven R. Adams of Fairfax, Va.; her sister, Lynda L. Butt of Hanover; and her niece, Ann Layton of Ellenton, Fla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth H. Hamm, John R. Hamm, and Burnell Hamm; and four sisters, Dorothy M. Hamm, Helen C. Yost, Anna R. Schaffer, and Geraldine Hamm. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the McCrery Memorial Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville, Del., (Route 202, south of Silverside Road), where friends may call after 12:30.
