Andrew Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamilton, was the oldest of six children. He was born in the town of Richfield, Adams County, October 27, 1898, where he grew to manhood.
In 1917 he was united in marriage to Miss Lenora Holmes of Big Flats, at Friendship. To this union six children were born. Florence, now Mrs. Darwin Holmes, of Waushara, Gladys, Norman, Della, Violet and Lillie, all at home. Besides his wife and children, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamilton, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Erwin Payne, Coloma, and Mrs. Robert Lyons, Minneapolis, three brothers, Warren of Wisconsin Rapids, Vern of Beloit, and Fred at home, a half sister, Mrs. Mary Rounds of Nekoosa and two half brothers, Albert of Duluth and Thomas of Wisconsin Rapids, also a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hamilton had been ill for some time, but his death was a great shock to the family and his many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Coloma Corners church, with Rev. P.H. Likes officiating. Interment was made in the Richfield cemetery.
