William Klinger died at the Blair hospital at 5 o'clock this morning of pneumonia, having been sick but just a week. He was taken to the hospital yesterday morning and lasted less than 24 hours. The funeral will be held at the Christian church some time the last of the week, a definite date cannot be set until all the children are heard from. Mr. Klinger was born in Ada, Ohio, October 14th, 1849, and was therefore just past 68 years of age. He was married there to Rebekah Stringellow in 1873 and they moved to Iowa soon thereafter. In 1880 they came to this city and this has been their home ever since. There are five children, two having died in infancy; Mrs. Ernest Gilliam, of Kansas City, Mo., Lee Klinger, of Lancaster, Minn., Ben Klinger, of this city, Mrs. F.F. Bishop, of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Stanley McManigal, of this city. Mr. Klinger was a member of the Blair Volunteer Fire Department and always took a great interest in the doings of the Department. His many friends extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved wife and children.
