Passed away Dec 19, 2007, at the age of 93. Willie was born on November 6, 1914 in Humboldt County, California to JoseV and Francisca Lorenzo. The family moved to Tulare in 1920 where she attended Buena Vista Elementary School and Tulare Union High School. On July 15, 1933, she married Joseph R. Borges in St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Aloysuis Calholic Church and the St. Aloysius Altar Society., the Tulare City Historical Society and life member of the TDES.
She is survived by a son Richard Borges and his wife Mary of Tulare. Two daughters, Louise McGrew of Visalia, and Arlene J. Mulder and her husband Albert of Arlington Hieghts, Illinois, a sister Belmida Lorenzo, thirteen grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren and two great great granddaughters.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Joseph R. Borges Jr. and siblings Joe V. Lorenzo, Mary Ornellas, Leudivina Lucas, Frank Lorenzo, Pete Lorenzo and Olivia Coelho.
Visitation will be held Wednesday Dec. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home, 151 North H Street, Tulare, CA. Altar Society Rosary will be held at 4 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home Wednesday Dec. 26. Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of Resurrection will be held on Dec 27 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 125 E. Pleasant Ave., Tulare California. Interment will be at Tulare District Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request remembrances to be made to either the St. Aloysius Church sound system project at 125 Pleasant, Tulare CA 93274 or Tulare County Cabrillo Civic Club #12, Memorial Scholarship Fund P.O. Box 1875, Tulare, CA 93275.
