Berlie Joseph Brown, son of George Edson Brown and Harriet Lutisha Appleman, was born October 19, 1906 in LaFarge, Stark Township, Vernon County, Wisconsin. He died November 17, 1993 at the Memorial Hospital in Edgerton, Rock County, Wisconsin, aged 87 years and 28 days and was buried in the Milton Cemetery, Rock County, Wisconsin.

Berlie married twice. On January 2, 1935 he was united in marriage to Gertrude Mae Lewis. She was born January 12, 1915 in Rock County, Wisconsin, daughter of Raymond Lewis and Mary Clark. She died May 10, 1969 at Milton, Rock County, Wisconsin, aged 54 years, 3 months and 28 days and was buried in the Milton Cemetery. Their three children, all born in Milton, Wisconsin, were: Bruce Leon, b. 9 Apr 1938; Janet Lucille, b. 20 Jan 1941; & Ronald Dean, b. 29 Aug 1943.

On December 23, 1970 Berlie was united in marriage to Ethyle (Field) Haynes a secretary working at Norwood Mills. They divorced in 1972.

Mr. and Mrs. Berlie J. Brown, Rte. 1, Milton, are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary with open house Sunday in Johnstown Hall at Johnstown Center. Friends, relatives and neighbors are invited to call from 2 to 5 p.m.
Berlie Brown and Gertrude Lewis were married Jan. 2, 1935, in Rockford. They have two sons, Bruce, Rockford, and Ronald Brown, Rte. 1, Milton; one daughter, Mrs. Dale Weber, Rte. 1, Milton; one grandchild, Joe.
