CORA MAE SNYDER
Funeral services for Cora Mae Snyder, 307 West Fifth street, Florence, were held Monday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. AT Florence mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Stephens officiating.
Carol Del Duca played organ selections and pallbearers were all grandsons, including Thomas Kissell Jr., Ricky Kissell, John Snyder Jr., Albert Snyder Jr., Jim Oliver and Duane Miles Jr.
Mrs. Snyder died suddenly Thursday evening, Jan. 24, at her home. She was 71 years of age.
Born May 30, 1908 at Boone county, Mo., she had been a resident of Florence for 46 years. Prior to that she had lived in Coal Creek for four years and in Elkton, Colo. for 15 years.
She was married to Albert J. Snyder at Trinidad on April 23, 1927. He died in 1958. Mrs. Snyder was also preceded in death by two sons, Albert in 1964 and Wesley in 1972.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons, Alta Woodard of Cleveland, Ohio, Virginia Mae Kissell of Pueblo, Dorothy L. Miles of Westcliffe, Alberta (Peggy) Lennox of Florence, Ivan C. Snyder of Aurora and John L. Snyder of Pueblo.
Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother, Jewell Tavonatti of Central City, Dorothy Gherna of Canon City, and Ivan Acton, Colorado Springs. Burial was in Union Highland Cemetery.
