MISS ISABEL MCBRIDE DEAD

Passed Away at Couer d'Alene, Idaho, Last Friday

Miss Isabel McBride, well and most favorably know in this city for many years, passed away at Couer d'Alene, Idaho last Friday after serious illness of about a week's duration. She had been suffering intensely from rheumatism for about two years. She did her best to secure relief, but she was unsuccessful. December 28 she left this city for Couer d'Alene, hoping the change of climate would benefit her. A short time ago she contracted typhoid fever and on account of her weakened condition, she quickly yielded to it. The funeral was held on Monday. The burial was at Couer d'Alene.

Miss McBride was born in Highland township March 18, 1888. Hence she was nearly 32 years of age. She was employed for several years in the St. James hotel and was also in the Waverly for a long time. She is survived by her mother, four brothers, and four sisters. The mother, two of the brothers, James and Patrick, and three of the sisters, Mrs. Geo. Steil, Mrs. L.W. Goddard, and Miss Julia McBride live in this locality. One brother, John McBride, lives at Ayrshire, and another brother, Thomas, resides at Couer d'Alene, Idaho. The third sister, Mrs. J.P. Goddard, lives at Manville, Illinois.

Miss McBride was a most exemplary Christian lady. She was quiet and unassuming, but she was a tireless worker, and her faithfulness was frequently and flatteringly referred to by those who employed her. Her death at such an early age is sad, but the realization that she did so faithfully and so creditably her part in life is very consoling to her aged mother and the other members of the family. They have the profound sympathy of our many citizens in their sorrows.
