Funeral liturgy for John Joseph "Jack" Joslyn, a brother of two Gillette residents, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Matthews Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Ogg is celebrant.
Burial will follow at Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
Visitaiton will be 2-7 p.m. Thursday at Wilson-Noecker Funeral Home.
Mr. Joslyn,72, of Sinclair, died of cancer Sunday, Dec.
22, 1996 at his daughter's home in Sinclair.
He was born July 2, 1924 in O'Neil, Neb., to William Chandler and Mary Ellen (Lydon) Joslyn. He lived in Wyoming most of his life and worked in and around the oil fields. His hobbies included fishing and hunting in the Big Horn Mountains and on the Wyoming range.
He is survived by sons John Joseph Joslyn Jr. of Bellingham, WA, and Christopher Michael Joslyn of Cullman, Ala.; daughters Jacueline Lee Pearson of Bellingham, Linda Marie Joslyn of Sinclair, Mary Helen Froster of Banning, CA, and Lynette Ann Joslyn of Lander; brothers James 'Pete' Joslyn and Richard 'Dick' Joslyn, both of Gillette; sisters Geraldine Reardon of Miles City, MT, Gertrude Lytle of Sundance and Lois Ann Boulden of Newcastle; 17 grand-children, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis 'Bud' and Herbert 'Bill' Joslyn; and a sister, Josephine Lawson.∼Jack married Joanne and had about 4 children. Later divorced and married Viola B. Yeck and had one daughter and divorced.
