Eleanor L Stratton was born on August 25, 1839, in Vermont to Nancy Eliza Munger, age 34, and Hiram Stratton, age 35. She married John H Cantrell on April 2, 1857, in Whiteside County, Illinois. They had 12 children in 25 years. She died on March 18, 1906, at the age of 66.

Mrs. Cantral, who lived southeast of town, died at twelve o’clock Saturday night. She had been sick for several years. She was buried Tuesday in the cemetery at the Christian Church. The family has the sympathy of the entire community.
