Mrs. Otto Mueller, 84, mother of Mrs. Elmer Giese of Theresa, Wisconsin; died at the Park Lawn Home in Manitowoc, Sunday after a lingering illness. Mrs. Mueller was formerly a resident of Maribel and of Manitowoc.
The former Emma Kasten was born April 23, 1881, in the Town of Gibson, daughter of the late Fred and Lydia Gauger Kasten.
She married Mr. Mueller on May 3, 1900, in the Town of Gibson and resided on a farm for some years there. The couple later operated a meat market in Maribel until Mr. Mueller retired in 1925 and they moved to Manitowoc where he died in 1951.
Three sons preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Earl, Arthur and Reinhold of Manitowoc; five daughters, Mrs. Adela Giese, Theresa, Mrs. Erwin Gruber, Mrs. Carl Nickels, Mrs. Marvin Schultz and Mrs. Henry Gates of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Krueger of Two Rivers and Mrs. Julia Kohn of Maribel; 49 grandchildren, and 82 great-grandchildren.
