RIO — Mrs. Julius (Gladys) Jameson Sr., age 72, of Rt. 2 Rio, Wisconsin died on Sunday, March 4, 1979, at a local hospital. The former Gladys Thompson was born on April 14, 1906 in the town of Lodi, Wisconsin. She married Julius Jameson Sr. on March 27, 1929. After living in the Lodi area for many years, they moved to Rio in 1945. Mrs. Jameson was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rio and also the Deborah Circle. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Roy, Chester and Raymond, and two sisters, Cora and Ada. Also preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Lang Sr. Survivors include her husband Julius Sr. of Rio; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Gloria) Lang and Mrs. Russell (Shirley) Leistikow; three sons, Marvin, Donald and Julius Jr., all of Rio; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Johnson of Lodi and Mrs. Myrinda Obrecht of Stoughton; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, Rio, on Wednesday, March 7, 1979, at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend David Hofer will officiate. Burial will follow at the Dekorra Lutheran Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the THOMPSON-KELLOGG FUNERAL HOME, Rio, on Tuesday, March 6, 1979, from 4 until 8:30 p.m. and after 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
