Alvine Belanger
Rosary for Alvin Belanger of Visalia will be recited 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hadley Funeral chapel. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mrs. Belanger, 91, died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born in Ames, Kan.
Alvine Nobert married Willie Belanger on Nov. 28, 1912 in St. Joseph, Kan. They moved to New Mexico in 1936 and to Visalia in 1937. They moved to Las Vegas in 1972 and returned to Visalia in 1977. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by four sons, William Belanger of Los Angeles, Emery Belanger of Victorville, Harry Belanger of Visalia and John Belanger of Fresno; three daughters, Rose O'Farrell of Las Vegas, and Marie Waddle and Ila Scarbrough, both of Visalia; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Visalia Cemetery.
