Charles Luther Howard, born in Ray County, Missouri April 5, 1872, died in his home in the Shady Grove community Monday, Dec, 29 where he had resided since 1920, having moved to Christian County in 1898.
In Feb 1950, he married Suzanna Caudill [SIC - marriage records give 21 Feb 1905 date]. One son, Homer Howard, was born to this marriage.
Mr. Howard was a devout member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Other survivors, besides Mrs. Howard and Homer, is a brother, Riley Howard of Ozark and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 30 by the Rev. Robert Holloway in the Chaffin Funeral Home chapel. Burial was in the Sparta Cemetery.
