Johnnie, the eighteen-year-old [John was 19 years old when he died] son of Louis Delsman, died at the Holy
Family hospital at 7 o'clock Sunday evening. Johnnie had attended the
Wisconsin Business college for several months last year and was there
this year to finish up his course.
On Wednesday he complained of a pain in his side but attended school
Thursday. In the evening of that day he grew worse and a doctor was
summoned who diagnosed the disease as parendicitis. At the hospital
it was found that the disease had already progressed too far so that
the operation undertaken was found useless. His death was a shock to
his parents, friends and fellow students. Floral contributions for
the funeral were given by Mr. Wilson and the students of the business
college. The funeral was held in Francis Creek Tuesday. Interment was
in the Catholic cemtery.
