Louis W. Delsman Sr., 90, of 512 North Ninth St., Manitowoc, died
early Friday at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a
short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Urbanek
and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at the Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. L.M. Schorn will
officiate and burial will be in Evergreen.
Delsman was born in Kossuth in 1863 and in 1887 married Miss Anna
Bauman at Riefs Mills. They located on a farm in the town and in
1922 retired and moved to Manitowoc, the farm being taken over by
their son, Joseph. The couple observed their diamond jubilee in
1947. Mrs. Delsmann died last January.
Survivors are two daughters, Sister Viola, of the Holy Family
convent, Silver Lake, and Mrs. Edwin Bleser of Rt. 5, Manitowoc;
five sons, Quirin and Louis Jr., of Manitowoc, Joseph of Rt. 5,
Manitowoc, Clarence of Milwaukee, and Albert of Corpus Christi,
Tex.; sister, Mrs. Arthur Stadler of Two Rivers; 17 grandchildren
and 16 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after Sunday noon, where the
rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday by the Knights of
Columbus and Holy Name Society.
