CHARLES GRAPENTINE (d. 1930)

RETURNS HOME TO DIE AFTER LONG ILLNESS
A heart ailment of long duration and which forced him to return to the
town of Newton five weeks ago for medical treatment after he had
resided at Topaz, Mich., for the past 11 years, last night claimed the
life of Charles Grapentin(sic) with death occurring at the home of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grapentin. He had been engaged in farming
near the Michigan city.
Born in the town of Newton on February 22, 1896, he married Miss Mabel
Boeckman on March 11, 1915 and his widow with seven children,
Clarence, Raymond, Lester, Lorraine, Lucille, Marie and Adela; three
brothers, William, Fred and Walter; three sisters, Mrs. William
Appelkant, Topaz, Mich., Mrs. Ed Fischer and Mrs. Andrew Kaufman,
Manitowoc, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grapentin, Newton,
survive him.
Funeral services will be held from the family home Monday afternoon at
1:30 o'clock with Rev. Kionka officiating. Interment will be at
Evergreen Cemetery in this city.
