Peter Wergin, 80, of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, died Saturday at Holy Family
Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home
and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John
Landowski will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Wergin was born July 25, 1888, at Kewaunee, son of the late John and Frances
Simicki Wergin, and worked at Aluminum Specialty Co., Manitowoc, until retirement
July 1, 1953.
He married Bernice Jaworski Sept. 5, 1910, at Manitowoc, and she survives with
five sons, Harry, Francis, Daniel and Eugene of Manitowoc and Raymond of Chicago;
a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Marcia) Wilke, of Manitowoc; two brothers, Theodore and
Julius of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Wiesner of Casco and Mrs. Josephine
Mille of Florida, 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday where at 7 p.m. the
Rosary will be recited.
