Joseph Hawkins Cameron

Joseph is named after his father's 1st cousin twice removed, Joseph Campbell Hawkins.
Joseph traveled west with his older sister Sarah and Jacob Leffler after their marriage. He contracted TB during his trip and died shortly after arriving in Stockton. He is buried in Stockton Rural Cemetery. Joseph and his older brother Arthur W Cameron are listed on the same marker in the Stockton Rural Cemetery. Joseph is also listed on his father's monument in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, Iowa.
