Mrs. Augusta Lewi-Ballin,fifth
child of the 14 constituting the family
of, the late Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Lewi,
died Tuesday at the home of her mother.
115 1/2 Lancaster Street Albany. Although
Mrs. Balllns ill-health dates
from 18 months ago, it had never
been of such character as to disassociate
her from the prevailing interests
of her life— music and the musical world.
Even during the past few weeks
after neuritis had been added to her
other physical ailments, she kept
thoroughly abreast with current musical
events.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs.
Joseph Lewi and by 12 brothers and
sisters:Isidor Lewi,of New York;
.Mrs. Herman Bendell. Edward J. Lewi,
Mrs.Mark M. Cohn, of Saratoga; Dr.
Maurice J. Lewi, of New York; Mrs.
A. Donhauser. Mrs. Silas W. Cohen, of
Sprakers; Theodore J. Lewi, Franklin
L. Lewi, of Newark; Mrs. M. A. Gluick,
of Port Chester, Alice B. Lewi and Dr.
William G. Lewi, of Albany.,
The funeral will take place Thursday
