25th in Payson Hospital after a lengthy illness, were held
December 27th in Payson Funeral Home. Burial was in
Payson Cemetery with members of the Elks Lodge 2154
officiating.
Mr. Edmonston was a native of El Paso, Texas and came
to Globe in 1905. His interest in mining took him throughout
the state and he lived in Nogales, Patagonia, Tucson, Benson
Pomerene, Phoenix, Coolidge Dam, Tempe, Show Low and
Gray Mountain. He moved to Payson 15 years ago, where
he and his wife started the Mogollon Stage Line bus service
from Payson to Phoenix.
Surviving are his wife, Velma, a son, Loyde C. Edmonson
Jr. of Phoenix. Two daughters, Mrs. Earl Inscho, of Payson
and Mrs. Eldon Barney of Pomerene. A brother, Everett S.
Edmonson of Nogales and one sister out of state.
