Paula Ruth Stone Tompkins, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 12, 2012, at Centennial Medical Center, in Nashville,
Mrs. Tompkins was born Sept. 23, 1944, in White County, to Dennis T. and Daisy Steele Stone.
She was a hairdresser.
Mrs. Tompkins was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank Tompkins; brothers, Bobby Stone and Charles Stone and sister Dean Fleaher. She is survived by her two sisters Dixie Phifer and Sandra Lewis both of Sparta Brother: Jimmy Stone and wife Bonita of Maryville, Tn Sister-in-law: Elizabeth Stone of Cookeville
Funeral service will be graveside at 2 p.m., Sept. 16, 2012, at Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Robert Wright will officiate. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m., Sept. 15, at Hunter Funeral Home.
