Homer Leroy "Red" Seifert. 80, 298 Florence Ave. died of a heart attack at 6:52 p.m. Tuesday at Alliance Community Hospital.

Mr. Seifert was born Nov 3, 1908. in Alliance to George and Anna Ritchard Seifert, and lived here all of his life.

He retired in 1970 after 33 years as a heater with Transue and Williams Co., and then worked for 19 years as a custodian at Robertson Electrical Supply.

Mr. Seifert was a member of First-Immanuel United Church of Christ, the men's Bible class, B.P.O Elks Lodge 467, and Transue and Williams Retirees Club. and was a volunteer driver for the Alliance of Churches' HELP program.

He is survived by his wife. Viola M. (Reynolds), whom he married June 9, 1935; a daughter Mrs. Richard (Vickie) Johnson of Alliance; a brother, Richard of Sharon. Pa; and two grand-children. Mr. Seifert was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Wisden, LaRue Donze and Ruth Ickes, and three brothers, LaMont, Ruben and Pat.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First-Immanuel Church with the Rev. Alden H. Blake officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.

Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home where an Elks memorial service will be conducted at 6:45 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
