---Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the La Plata Methodist Church for William A. Begole, seventy-two, retired La Plata farmer, who died Thursday, August 26, at his home in Kirksville. Burial was in the La Plata cemetery.
---Mr. Begole entered the hospital when he suffered a fractured hip following a recent fall at his home. His death, however, was attributed to a heart ailment.
---Surviving besides the widow, are a son, George Begole, two granddaughters, four brothers, John Begole of Louisiana, Charles Begole of Ethel, George Begole of Denver, Colorado and Ray Begole of Centralia. Two sisters, Mrs. Alice Elmore of Gibbs and Mrs. Minnie Elmore of Hooker, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.
